What is FLOW?
FLOW is the order-taking system by Grand Systems for cafés, bars and restaurants. Waiters take orders on phones or PDAs, orders print automatically at the right station, and the owner manages menu, prices, users and reports from one panel. It costs from €39.99/month + VAT per venue.
Do I need special PDAs for FLOW?
Not necessarily. FLOW runs on Android devices, PDAs and phones, and installs on the home screen like an app, without an app store. If you need hardware, we recommend the right devices.
Is there a charge per waiter or per device?
No. Pricing is per venue, from €39.99/month + VAT, with unlimited PDAs and waiters. We take care of installation and configuration.
Does it connect to my card terminal?
Yes. FLOW connects to card payment terminals from major providers such as myPOS, Epay and Cardlink. Each card payment is linked to its receipt, as AADE requires for POS integration. If your terminal is from another provider, contact us and we will check compatibility.
Can I take card payments without a card terminal?
Yes. With SoftPOS, the waiter’s phone becomes a payment terminal: guests tap their card or phone and the payment is completed at the table, with no extra device. It works through our partner provider on a compatible phone with NFC, and the payment is linked to the receipt, just as with a regular terminal.
What happens if the internet goes down?
FLOW runs inside the venue, on the local network. Order taking and station printing continue as normal. Issuing tax documents to AADE requires an internet connection.
Which printers does it work with?
Network thermal printers, one per station, for example bar, kitchen and desserts. Each item goes to its printer automatically, and cancellations print a void ticket at the same station.
